“God writes the Gospel not in the Bible alone, but also on trees, and in the flowers and clouds and stars.”
Welcome to my blog. It is very nice to see you. *tips hat*
I’m Emily. I’m a nineteen-year-old grad student wasting away over English Literature in the rainy, woody Pacific Northwest of America. I’m a passionate writer, bookworm, aspiring theologian, and a devoted servant of Jesus Christ.
I’m usually the one who’s just a little bit different in a crowd of people, due to my obsessive love of Christian theology, literature, a plethora of very obscure philosophical notions, the ever complicated German language, and the odd pot of sumptuous Earl Grey tea with a couple of biscoff cookies.
I also love rainy days. And Gothic Literature.
It’s also worth noting that I’ve been waiting for Mr. Darcy to show up since I was twelve years old. He’ll get here eventually. I am certain that he’ll be pleased when I show him how I have improved my mind by extensive reading.
Indeed, I pore constantly over my Bible, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Jane Austen, the Brontë Sisters, Donna Tartt, C.S. Lewis, Shakespeare, and Tolkien’s Middle Earth Sagas.
This blog is a compilation of all the thoughts and ideas floating around in my never ending Mind Palace. I hope you’re inspired by the many sublime and wondrous truths I learn as I read and write my way through all of time and space.
Did I also mention that I happen to think bowties are cool? (If you know…you know.)
Please do leave a comment and introduce yourself. I always love getting to know the new friends who pop in to say hello. You will make my day if you do. *blows kiss and offers hug*
