Dragons and Nazguls

Posted on December 14, 2014January 10, 2015 by Miss Holmes of Gondor

Hello World! Yes, I suppose I always begin my posts with the heading,"Hello World," but it gives me a fresh start and enthusiasm to write for all you beloved readers. Anyhow, I was unsure of what to write about today and my mind seemed, well, sort of blank. I just sat there with an empty … Continue reading Dragons and Nazguls →

Sucking Me Dry

Posted on December 13, 2014March 25, 2017 by Miss Holmes of Gondor

Hello World! Today I have made an amazing discovery. No, not a new species of tortoise or life on Mars, but a discovery of faith. As I sat in my over sized moon chair with my Bible open to Deuteronomy, I was a bit puzzled about what God could possibly be saying to me in … Continue reading Sucking Me Dry →

Plans to Prosper

Posted on December 9, 2014March 25, 2017 by Miss Holmes of Gondor

Hello world! Today I woke up not really smiling as I would like to say, but I can't complain. My little sister picks a new alarm tone every night on our family iPad to use so I can wake up peacefully to sweet sounds. As I get into the shower I remember to smile and … Continue reading Plans to Prosper →

Step Out

Posted on December 8, 2014March 25, 2017 by Miss Holmes of Gondor

I love comfort. I love being comforted by my family. I love comforting other people. I love to eat comfort food. I thoroughly enjoy my comfort zone and my personality rarely cares to step outside it. As a young girl growing up in this fallen world, the only way to "survive" is to stay in … Continue reading Step Out →

About

Miss Holmes of Gondor

Miss Holmes of Gondor

Hallo there. I'm Emily: aspiring theologian, medievalist, and author. I drink far too much tea, play excessive amounts of chess, and I will always use the Oxford comma religiously. I am a university student heartily engrossed in English literature, writing, and all things devoted to the art of story. Accordingly, I have an immense adoration for literature, medieval theology, and art. I am always asking odd questions, and I don't think I shall ever stop. Those questions become stories, stories tell us who we are, and I don't think I shall ever stop writing them either. By God's grace, I will lend my voice to those millennia-old academic discussions and unveil truth, beauty, and love for all the world to observe. I am delighted that you're here to listen to my musings!
